To be better at the front third press and after winning the ball looking to create goal scoring opportunities within three passes. Key being communication, cutting off passing lanes and forward runs once inning the ball

Explanation –
Ball always starts with the coach
4 v 4 in the grid plus2 bouncers for each team (as per diagram)
BP players in the grid play the bouncer and then swap positions with the bouncer
BPO side look to win the ball back with pace
2 minutes play with a 30 second active rest then repeat x 6 (15 mins )
2 x grids going at the same time for 15 mins
Progression –
Then remove the red lines to make a 50 x 25m possession game. one red and one blue on each side line and still swap out. 2 x 5 min games
1 – Make pitch bigger or smaller
2 – Limit touches
Team Tasks-
Can you retain possession and create an opportunity to bring a bouncer into the grid?
Player Tasks-
Can you position your body to be level or outside your defender?
Can you make a run that won’t take the space from the advancing bouncer?
Can you play a forward pass?
Coaching Cues –
When you are in a position to receive the ball ensure you are level or beyond your defender (off the shoulder) so you can play a forward pass or drive forward with the ball
If you are swapping with the bouncer ensure you don’t run towards the bouncer and crowd his space

Yellow. 3,4,6,8,10,7,9,11

Once ball enters grid A only one Blue defender can enter while unlimited Yellow attackers can enter to attempt to score.
GK / Blue Team Starts play.
Team Task:Red team Win the ball back in the middle 3rd and play a forward pass behind defenders to score in big goals.
Blue Team - to score in either small goals
Player Task:
9,7,11. In BPO apply pressure to the ball If you are the closest defender.
In BP make a forward run beyond defenders.
In BP Support 6,8,10 if they need you.
6,8,10. Apply Pressure to the ball if you are closet defender
In BP Play a forward pass beyond defenders. If unable pass to a teammate who can.
Player Cue:
When in BPO make the ground as small as possible by moving toward the ball and blocking passing lanes.
6,8,10 when you win the ball look to play a forward pass into space Behind defenders if not pass to a team mate who can.
9,7,11, When 6,8,10 have controlled possession and have their head up make a forward run.
If their head is down and they are under pressure be in a position to receive the ball.
Immediatley transition from BPO to BP.

Red team play 2,3,3
Blue Team play 1,5,2
Red team scores in large goals
Blue team score in either small goals.
Play starts with GK. 1x Blue can enter into Grid A when is BP. Unlimited players can enter grid A When in BPO.
Offside applies to Red Team.
Once ball is played into Grid A unlimited players can enter area to score.
Teams swap ends after ten minutes.

Passing Drill Positional and Decision making (20 mins)
3 passes to 2, who makes a movement away from the ball before coming back under the pole ( defender ) to recieve the pass and take a touch forward to break the line. Then passes underneath to 6 who takes a touch forward, then plays in 10 who has checked off the pole to recieve far foot. 10 plays in 7 after 7 has made two movements, takes a touch forward and dribbles past Mannequins to shoot at the GK below the knees.
Shooter then runs to centre where they do fast feet, into leep frog jump over hurdles into squat, then more fast feet and jog back to starting point
Progression is:
1) To increase the pace of the passing drill as they get warmer
2) To communicate when and where to play the pass
3) Play combination play at 2 & 7 (1-2's)
4) Make the players choose the combination anywhere to combine and encourage communication.
5) Have the shooter progress from shots below the knees to chest and then to shoot to score
