Angles of Support
On the left side, Player B has a good angle of support, he is even with the defender so not offisdes and can break a line drawn throguh the defender with his first touch. This is often called breaking lines. In this case player A can beat the defender with a pass to player B, who could then recive with his back foot and continue to quickly play forward.
On the right side, Player B is not in a sideways or open body shape, also if player A passes to player B, the defender can still block the forward progress, by simply shifting over. Player C is in an advanced position but is screened by the defender, Player C is hiding. We want the supporting players to be able to see the player and the ball, with no defenders in the way.
