Description

MVSC- Session 1 Curriculum.

This session is adaptable for 7v7, 9v9, 11v11.

Do not rush nothing and work on the concepts, running with the ball.

We have 3 exercises, I understand sessions are an hour long only.

Avoid playing full field scrimages for now during the session time.

If you want to do a different dril or modify you are more than welcome as long as the objective gets done.

Activation Phase 2-Session 4

Content- Running with the ball

Objective- •Keep the ball as close as possible depending on the distance between the attacker and defender.

•Switch speed of the ball at the approach of a defender.

Space- 3x 20 Adapt to your age.

Teams- 1v1

Times- 15 min

Organizational Phase-  Team A and team B on each corner, red team starts by running with the ball and scoring on mini goal after crossing the blue mark 5 yards aways from goal. After player A scores, B does the same thing on the oposite side, hoping that with the pressure the players run faster with the ball, the game continues ON and ON. When player scores, They forget about the ball and go straight to defend.

Play 3 reps of 4 minutes.

Adjustment Phase- If defender steals the ball, they can score on any goal, game will reestart with the player that scores on the last play.

Principal Phase I

Content- Running with the ball

Objective- •Keep the ball as close as possible depending on the distance between the attacker and defender.

•Switch direction and speed of the ball at the approach of a defender.

Space- 15x15-20x20 Adapt to your age.

Teams- 1v1

Times- 15 min

Organizational Phase- 2 groups on each side, with  2 gates centered on the outside lines, Player A plays B and B will have to take the ball to want of the outside gates. It should take less than 10 seconds to finish a 1v1. At the end of every play A goes to B and B goes to line A. If you have more than 12 players and an assistant may do 2 groups. Make sure passes are good, focus on details. If defender still the ball game is over.

Adjustment Phase- Have players doing trowins instead of passes, this way the defender can give more of a challenge because the attacker will lose time trying to control the ball. Encourage players to make fakes to the opponents If they have too. Engage players in competition by making the "loser" do 3 pushups.

Teaching Learning- What can you do when the defender catch you running to on side?

Space- 25x30

Teams- 3v3 or 4v4 (If you have enough to make 4 teams of 3v3 do it) adapt to your numbers.

Times- 25 min

Organizational Phase- Play a free 3v3 king of the court game, with 4 gates on the corners. The game is directional, so red scores on one side, white on the other. Play free, time for players to enjoy. Only rule is that players most dribble trougth the gate.

Adjustment Phase- Encourage players to take on 1v1s, and to look for open spaces to run with the ball.
