This drill develops zonal defending in a 1-2-1 formation, focusing on positioning, anticipation, and quick transitions. One team defends the central gate while two others try to pass through it. If the defenders win the ball, roles switch; if a pass goes through, defenders must quickly shift and defend the next attack. It trains defensive shape, teamwork, and fast reaction during transitions.

Warm-Up Drill: Defensive Positioning
Place two cones 15 meters apart,
1. The first player with the ball from one side starts dribbling toward the opposite cone.
2. At the same time, the first player from the opposite side (without the ball) steps forward and takes up a defensive stance to simulate pressure — without tackling or touching the ball.
3. The attacker dribbles past the defender and passes the ball to the next player in the opposite line.
4. After the pass:
* The attacker moves to the back of the line he passed to.
* The defender moves to the other group set and stend the end of row
5. The next player with the ball starts immediately, and the drill continues in a flow.
