SHOT STOPPING (15 mins)
Method:
Three-five shooters pass the ball among themselves.
To simultate a defender or attacker, blue player may be added to obstruct the eye line of the keeper or deflect the shot
Keeper moves feet to get in line with any potential shot
Coach behind the goal will signal for which player to shoot.
Players continue to pass and set up the shooting player.
Repeats x 3 on each keeper
Coaching Points:
Keeper alert to any possibility, including deflections.
Neutral set position to ensure that keeper can go left or right and does'nt over-commit one way or the other.
