Decision Making
Short to Med zone pass
Create width & depth to allow space for build up
•Good quality/selection of passes to create overloads through the thirds
•Create space and options in front of the ball through good supporting angles and passes
•Midfielders 6.8.10 make opposite movements away from the ball to create space for 4 or 5 to penetrate into midfield. 7 and 11 stay high to keep opposition 3 and 2 deep. 10 and 9 move wide or deep in relation to the ball position.
•Look for penetrating runs with or without ball
•Provide quick support –no gaps between units
•Early Pass/Cross in behind opposition defence from wide areas.
•Maintain players at the back to provide cover and balance in case possession is lost
•Look to have 4/5 players in or around the box
