Duel for Three Goals: This exercise focus on finishing skills under pressure, functional technique, agility, transition and competitiveness. The second part of the exercise expands on the 1v1 in a small group play.

Organization:
Same set up as before.
Instructions:
Progression from the 1v1 to 2v2. Exercise starts with the attacking team having an opposition defender behind the receiving attacker, once the ball is played in from Player A to Player C, Player A and a recovering defender immediately joins in to make it a 2v2. Once the first play is over, the defender that started behind the attacker looks to receive the ball from one of the two servers / outside players and then look to combine with the recovering defender to score in the counter goal.
Rotation - Attacking team rotates A-B-C-A as before while defending team rotates the two defenders with the two servers / outside players. Team rotates roles i.e. attacking / defending on coach's call.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Previous coaching points when applicable.
- Quick combination play to finish on goal.
- Choice of finish.
- Pressure, cover and delay during defending moments.

Duel for Three Goals
Organization:
Set up as shown in a smaller area in front of the goal.
Instructions:
- Players are divided into two teams i.e Red and Blue as shown.
- Activity starts with the first player in the Red team i.e Player A passing to Player C, as soon as the ball is being played into Player C, first defending blue player in line applies immediate pressure on player C and attempts to stop red Player A from scoring.
- Player C needs to check out and check back in to receive the ball from Player A, turns around either pole before heading for the large goal to finish. If the blue defender wins the ball off red Player C, the blue defender can score in either counter goal.
- Once the shot is taken by red Player C or the ball goes out of play, Player C quickly transition to defending and attempt to stop the blue player that was defending against him from scoring into the counter goals. The blue defender now becomes an attacker and look to make deceptive runs and receive the ball from either blue server from the side to finish in the counter goal.
- A player has six seconds to score on goal.
- Rotation - A-B-C-A.
- Team switch roles on coach's call.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Speed of execution.
- Finishing on target while under pressure from the defender.
- Change of pace with and without the ball.
- Quality finish.
- Quick transitions; Attacking to defending and defending to attacking.
- Closing shooting angles while defending.
- Defender should be brave, aggressive and stop the attacker from scoring.
