This is a One-hour game-basedsession plan. The session aims to provide opportunities for players in 1v1situations to practice attacking and defending skills
The session starts with an arrivalactivity, so the players can get going while waiting for other players andcoaches to set up the session. The session includes:
•Aphysical literacy & technical warm-up.•1v1activity.
•Afinal game
•1v1s will allows players topractice individual attacking skills like turning, running with the ball, anddribbling moves. Players will also practice defensive skills like pressure onthe ball and tackling.

Arrival Activity (10 mins)
Aminimum of 2 players is needed to get going. As players arrive, they put downtheir water bottle, coaches provide them a pinnie, and they start playing. Asother players arrive, increase the game to 2v2s, 3v3s. Overloads 3v2 are ok. Inthe beginning, place two nets down for the game field. As the players areplaying, walk around to complete the area set up with cones.
Setup
1 x 25/35yrds field and 2 nets on each end. It is ok to start with a smaller field and make it bigger as the players arrive.

1v1 to the gate (10 mins)
Players move through the conesperforming various activities racing against the other players.
Player advances through the cones and move to either gate on their left or right. Defender tries to tag the player before they get through either gate. If the player is tagged they become the defender.

1v1 Transition (20 mins)
Players in lines on opposite sides. The coach chooses one side to start attacking and one to start defending. Players go on a 1v1; once the play is done (goal or ball out of bounds), the attacker becomes a defender, and a new attacker comes from the opposite team. The defender gets the ball and goes back to their line. This attacker will later be a defender after the play is done. It keeps going back and forth. If the defender wins the ball, they can try to score. Make it a competition between the teams.
Progression
Add a point system for trying skills or good defending even if a goal isn’t scored.
Setup
1 x 15/15yrds areas with one goal on each end.
Objectives
Players are encouraged to use attacking skills even when unsuccessful the previous time.
Players are encouraged to defend by trying to win the ball

Final Game
2 x Teams, 3v3/4v4/5v5 or adaptbased on numbers.
If numbers are high, try to createtwo games of 3v3 or 4v4
Normal game, no coaching points orstoppages. If coaching is required, limit information and allows for lots of ballrolling time
