Session 1
We will start this session by implementing the MVP awards in our sessions. Players will start with 5 MVP points. If a player do something good this will get an MVP point, However, If they do misbehave or do something they are not suppost to do, they will receive a minus point. At the end of practice, choose the MVP but make a big scene to encourage the players to compete for the MVP award every session.
Session learning outcomes are the following:

Turning with multiple surfaces
Motor Skill Development

Week 1 restart- Kick Off
The game will start on a Kick Off. Make sure the kids play a good number of games to have an emphasis on the rule.
Everytime a team scores a goal we will restart in the middle as a Kick off.

Organization

8 red cones (Boundaries)
4 tall cones
12 yellow cones
4 goals
Instructions
Group is devided into 4 teams. Each team name will be a Captain Tsubasa character.
Genzo (GK), Hyuga, Taro and Tsubasa.
Players start with their ball in each corner
Players will dribble towards the cone, perform a turn (coache's choice) for example: turning using the inside, outside, sole etc.
After players perform their turn, they will dribble to the back of the line and sit down before the next player goes
The first team to have their players sitting down "Wins"
Coaching Points
1 - Head up to observe space
2 - Small touches with the laces to keep close control. (Toes Down)
3 - Bigger touches to move around the area
4- Execution of task & listening skills
5- Use of the difference surfaces of the foot to turn (coache's choice)
Turning - Inside
-Step to the side of the ball with the non kicking foot
Pivot on that foot
- Redirect the ball with the inside
Turning - Outside
-Take a big step past the ball and plant foot
-Pivot on that foot
-Redirect the ball with the outside of the foot
-Turning- Sole (Pull back)
Supporting foot next to the ball
Kicking foot on top of the ball
Drag the ball back
Regressions:
Let the players run with their ball in their hands.
Progressions
Do it with only one ball per team. Players must pass the ball to teamate in front of line. The pass must be made before the yellow square.

Instructions

Players start with their ball next to their goal
Players will dribble towards the cone, perform a turn (coache's choice) for example: turning using the inside, outside, sole etc.
Once they turn, they are looking to score in their assigned goal. Players must shoot before the yellow square. Player must score in order for the next player to go.
Game will last 90 seconds and the winning team is the one that scores the most goals.
Captain Tsubasa Champions League Winners will get 5 MVP points!

3. 4 cones. Free zone.
Instructions:
1. Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament
2. Players must not step into the Freezone
Coaching Points:
3 lines of attack: Defender, Midfielder, Forward
Make stoppages on the characters using a real situation
Over the 8 weeks we would like to start to implement basic rules:
Ball is out- play stops
Kick off, Goal kicks, Corner kicks, Free kicks, Drop ball.
Week 1-
When the ball goes out the players should restart with a
pass in, the game will go live on the recieving players first touch
(first pass is free).
- Unbroken Lines = Players will go into an space where they are in line with the ball and no one is in between.
Week 2- Kick Off

Captain Tsubasa Overview: Its an animated cartoon made in Japan based on a Kid that loves soccer. Encourage players to watch it! 2018 season just started!.
We will start with a Tag game. Coach is the player's dad and he will like for all of them to go home already. Players do not want to go home, they want to stay and play soccer.
If the coach tag them, they will have to go home until one of his teamates touch them to send them free.
Coaching Points
1-Stay inside the grid
2-Look up and look for open space
3-Use changes of directions to fake taggers
4- Try to have the taggers in front so you can see them
