Overview
The drill focusses on attacking in wide areas. Utilising a 2 v 1 with the central midfielder in 7 v 7 format games.
A Red CM passes the ball out to the winger who is placed on the right touchline. The winger then takes on the Left sided blue defender who is defending at the edge of the box.
The winger has a choice as either committing the man in a 1 v 1 situation and aiming to get a cross in to the CM who has made a late run after their pass or to play a 1- 2 with the CM at the defensive line.
The CM cant score until they pass the defensive line.
The red winger can also attack inside and aim to get a shot off at goal.
Once the attack has completed the next three complete the game phase.
Progression
A second defender is added to defend the CM movement
Regression
The defender is set on their line
