Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Croatia (Day 2, Session 2)

Stretch Opposition (20 mins)

- 2 min games and switch

- Every team plays each other twice

- objective of the game is to try and bring the outside backs into play near targeted areas as much as possible.

- can we get the defensive team to overload a side and then switch the ball quickly with tempo and bring the opposite side into play going forward

- 2 central goals (stick goals) are placed to give team shape, meaning centerbacks have to mark that goal and make it game like

Teams

Team 3: Fredrik, Haldor, Haffi, Nigro, Dennis, Ernir

Crossing & Finishing Patterns (15 mins)

Objective: bringing outside backs forward and into danger areas

- central midfielders start with the ball in the center of the field. they begin play by finding a striker's feet. the striker then lays it off to a attacking player who comes inside. the attacking player than lays it back to the central midfielder who plays a ball through to the wide player.

- all attacking players crash the box and drive forward

- play switches from side to side every restart

- attacking players go in groups and switch attacking roles

Fall, Cisse, Pucci, Nikki, Hjalti, Petur, Dennis
