Place three lines of cones in fornt of players.
For Advanced (players A & B)
Player carries the ball towards the first set of cones and pulls the ball from right to left then left to right.
Using the momentum of the pull lift the ball over the first set of cones. Repeat the same motion for the rest of the cones.
For beginners (players C & D), have then pull the ball back towards them, then using the momentum of the pull lift the ball over the first set of cones. Repeat for the next two sets of cones.

Put players into groups of 4 or 5. Have half the players start on one line and the other half of the players 20-25yrds apart.
The first player dribbles all the way across and leaves the ball for the first person in that line. They then go to the back of the line they just arrived at. The player who just received the ball dribbles back to the first line and the drill continues. Go through a few times per skill, allowing each player to try each skill 6-8 times or more depending on how they're doing. Can also turn it into a race if control is good.
Dribbling Skills:
1. Push dribble – Ball at 2 o’clock, Stick stays on ball the whole way. Left elbow up!
2. Push dribble on angles – Strong stick only, on 45 degree angles forward
3. Push dribble on angles – Using reverse stick to change direction
4. Speed Dribble – Push ball in middle of body and use toe end of stick to get the ball really far away from you and go as fast as possible (flat side of stick faces the sky)
5. Indian Dribble
6. Lifted dribble
7. Lifted dribble with change of directions8. Reverse stick dribbling (ball at 10-11 o'clock)
9. One handed dribble - right hand only FAST (ball at 1 o'clock)
10. One handed dribble - left hand only forehand (arm crosses in front of body, ball at 1 o'clock)
11. One handed dribble - left hand only reverse stick (keep arm straight and ball away from body, ball at 10-11 o'clock)

Players stand 5-10m away from each other and continuously pass. One ball between two players. (Optional - Set a gate of 2 cones in the middle to act as a target.)
Start 5m away, beginning with push passing and receiving. Emphasize the importance of proper reception technique: feet behind the ball, left elbow up, left had out further than right hand, body relatively upright but with slightly bent knees.
For passing, discuss the Left-Right-Left footwork. This should be reminded to them in every drill that requires passing or shooting!
Make this fun by turning it into a competition: How many passes can you and your partner do in a minute?? Repeat a few times to let them try to beat their scores.
If you have a group or individuals who are more advanced here are some progressions (keeping in mind that while this might not be super exciting, basic skills are incredibly important to master):
Progressions:
- lifted passes
- increase distance (must maintain accuracy between the gate)
- sweep hits - take the time to properly explain this technique!

Set up multiple shuttles. Should have 4-5 players per group but no more.
Player A leads through the middle cones and receives a pass from player B. Player A practices different types of receptions and then turns and passes to player C who is waiting in the line player A came from. Player B then leads through the cones and Player C passes them a ball and they perform the same skill, then passing back to player D. All players stay on their same side instead of following to the other line.
Types of receptions to practice:
1. moving forwards (no stopping and waiting for the ball)
2. curl right
3. curl left
4. run through cones and receive forehand moving forward (see the second drawing)
5. run through cones and receive forehand moving forward
---
older/more experienced groups only:
6. slip trap left (like a left foot pivot - 3rd drawing)
7. slip trap right (backhand)
8. ramp over cones forehand
9. ramp over cones backhand

Tic-tac-toe
Each team needs different coloured balls (4 or 5)
Each team sends one player with a ball out to the grid. They place the ball in the grid then run back to their team. The next teammate does the same. The other team is doing the same at the same time with their own balls. The teams are trying to get 3 of their balls in a row.
If there is a "stalemate" where no one wins, the game continues with the next player running out without a ball and taking a ball from the grid back to their line. The next player in line can then dribble out and place a ball in another location.

Ball Carrying (20 mins)
Set up multiple cone stations as shown above. Each player (or pair/group of 3) should have their own line to maximize social distancing and touches on the ball.Purpose of this exercise is ball carrying. Ball should be at about 1-2 o'clock, just off to the right of each player, as they are dribbling forward. Encourage them to keep their left elbows high and a bend in their knees (eyes + chest up).
1 - straight dribble up and turn left (all forehand)
2 - straight dribble up and turn right (using reverse stick to turn)
3 - slalom through cones using both forehand and reverse stick skills
4 - big pulls from red cone to yellow cone. Emphasize pulling straight across and not forward on a diagonal.
If in pairs or groups of 3, turn this into a relay race to make it a bit more exciting.
Progressions:
- Turn right using only forehand (feet have to move!)
- Left and right foot pivots to turn around
- Lifted skills
- V drags
- Right hand only
- Left hand only (forehand and reverse)
