•To begin with only condition is that blues must score within the area identified by the two tall cones (roughly 25 yards from goal)
KEY POINTS

•Red 9 to stay high and keep the blues stretched.
•Speed of the transition. Encourage reds to look to play in to 9 as soon as they win the ball.
•Red full backs to join in with the attack. 6 or the 8 to drop in and make a back 3 to enable them to do so.

ORGANISATION
•Cone off the central area of the pitch (approx 20 by 40yards) as shown by yellow cones.
• 6 attackers v 5 defenders plus GK.
•If a shot happens to go wide of the goal, the ball always start with the goalkeeper. If ball goes out of play then ball start with the keeper.
SET UP
•GK starts with the ball and throws out to B1.
•Blue defending players must attempt to dribble the ball through the organge cones on the half way line in order to score a point for thir team.
KEY POINTS
•When the ball gets rolled out to B1, the nearest RED player to the ball, e.g. R1 runs across to close down the angle of the square pass.
•R2 offers cover. Close down as the ball travels to B3. Keep a low body position and stay side on.
•Think to yourself, can I intercept the ball? Stay on feet. Don't give away a foul.
•Stay compact as a team. Get players back behind the ball, e.g. R3 drops to make central area compact.
•When/if R2 wins the ball back. Be positive and attack the space.
•Make early decisions. Pass, dribble shoot. Be decisive.
•Try to not allow the blue defending team back into position.
•Get attacking players into advanced positions, e.g. R1 makes a diagonal run whilst R6 attempts to create an overload.
•R5 stays back to ensure that there is cover in case the play breaks down.
PROGRESSIONS
•Attempt a lofted ball from distance
•Include some variation of attack. In such a confined space, emphasise the importance of short along the floor passing and quick combination play.
