Title: Psy Fitness (7:45 - 7:50)

Aim: Stress the importance of pushing yourself during the last periods of games. Can we transition when we are tired? Can we defend a corner when we are tried? Did you feel physically dominant last weekend against Lonestar?

Lofted Ball - First Touch Test

Title: Lofted Ball - First Touch Test (7:50 - 8:05)

Aim: Put players in a setting where successfully playing a lofted ball and controlling the ball out the air while under pressure from an opponent is the player action / behavior for success 

Activity/Organization: Players play a lofted ball (Driven, chip with laces, whipping the ball with the inside of your foot) 9 then checks into the box, once the player playing the ball plays the pass, the defender can move into the box to apply pressure, 9's are charged with shielding the opponent, controlling the ball within the area and setting the ball back to the team mate. 

Plan for failure / Coaching Script: 

7:53 - Players will fail to be accurate enough with the pass - discuss and demo different techniques, hitting a rolling ball, using deception even in an unopposed situation. Everything must be game like. 

7:56 - 9's will fail to make contact with their opponent causing them to loose possession - Coach that this is the 9's first responsibility to make sure the opponent doesn't win the space in front of them. 

7:59 - 9's will fail to use the inside of their feet to control the ball and as a result will not control the ball within the required space - discuss leaning back into the opponent and using the largest surface area on your foot.

Pattern to Goal - option one - 9 Checking  

Title: Pattern to Goal - option one - 9 Checking  (8:05 - 8:30)

Aim: Put players in a setting where successfully playing a lofted ball and controlling the ball out the air while under pressure from an opponent is the player action / behavior for success. 

Activity/Organization: Players play 7v7 - the first pass must be a lofted ball into the 9,7,11 who is checking into receive the pass from their the game is live. Discuss our principals - find the highest free player, dribbling to attack, numbers in the box. 

Progression: Change player / angle of entry pass to wingbacks. 

Coaching Script / Plan for failure: 

8:10 - 9's will fail to make contact with their opponent causing them to loose possession - Coach that this is the 9's first responsibility to make sure the opponent doesn't win the space in front of them.

8:14 - 9's will fail to use the inside of their feet to control the ball and as a result will not control the ball within the required space - discuss leaning back into the opponent and using the largest surface area on your foot.  

8: 18 - The other two players in the front three will fail to either check to the ball or run in the space behind - discuss the back post run.

Title: Play 7v7 (8:30 - 8:50 )

Aim: Put players in a setting where successfully playing a lofted ball and controlling the ball out the air while under pressure from an opponent is the player action / behavior for success. 

Activity/Organization: Players play 7v7 - the first pass must be a lofted ball into the 9,7,11 who is checking into receive the pass from their the game is live. Discuss our principals - find the highest free player, dribbling to attack, numbers in the box. 

Coaching Script / Plan for failure: Limited based on session. Encourage behaviors / player actions.
