Defender is practising the jab tackle to keep distance from the player

Coaching Points:

Switch after 3/4 mins

Attacker gains point for succesfully evading jab tackle for 30 seconds

Defender gains point for every successful jab tackle

Channeling

Defender passes to attacker and then tracks back 'channeling' the attacker to the forehand of the 2nd defender.

Defenders gain points for successfully winning possession back

Attacker gains point for beating defender and placing ball on line.

Repeat in different channels - groups of 3

Coaching Points:

2nd defender keep stick length away (Jab stick), waiting for 1st defender to track back

1st defender to track back and cover line to make area smaller for attacker - Defend with stick low to ground and 'channel' attacker to strong side of 2nd defenders stick for successful tackle.

Communicate - stepping into areas

Cover your feet with your stick low to ground

Groups work together ( inking arms) to try and grab other teams tail

Blues start with the ball and make 7 consecutive passes to score point.

Defending team apply pressure to win ball back and look to score goal.

Once point is scored from either team, new ball is rolled in by coach

Groups of 3/4 

1 player from team A raids team B's zone and tries to tag a player and return to their zone before being tagged themselves.

Point scored if the player can return safely.

Team to work together linking arms in pairs.

Defensive overload

3v5

Orange team (5) defend goal and look to get ball onto line.

Attacking team (3) look to score in mini goals.
