Small Sided Game - 7v7 Format

Organisation:

Pitch Size: 65mx40m (adjust to suit age and ability of teams)

Team formations: GK, 2 Defenders, 3 midfielders (1 central & 2 wide), 1 centre forward

Coaching Points:

  • Communication - When to pass, body shape to receive, 1st touch, angle/distance of support
  • Decision Making - When to dribble, when to pass, who to pass to
  • Execution - of Football actions, dribble, pass, receive, movement, shooting, defending 

Notes: Let the game flow - Coach at natural stoppages and/or during the game from the sideline (Coaching in the flow)
