Set Up:
2v2 + 2 neutral players. Game can be adapted for multiple number of players. I.E. extra neutral player in the centre, 3v3 in centre, wide players etc. Field size is dependant on the number of players available. Ideally a tight area to encourge quick movement and sharp awareness.
Description:
Central players are attempting to get the ball from one end player to the other. ATT players should create space by checking out and with quick movements to lose a DEF. Scan the field all the time, see the whole picure.
Progression:
Ball must be transfered within 5 passes. (Adjust with more players)
3 touch
Coaching Points:
SCAN.... check shoulder when making a run and when ball is travelling.
Teammate should see the trigger and move into space to support. Trigger is when teammate is about to receive the ball.
Players movement might be to create space for their teammate.
COMMS - talk when receiving and moving.
Look for the movement of target players, decide where your run should be.
