4 Color Square

Session Organization:

  • 2 by 2 square, each cone is a different color.
  • server calls a direction, (Left, Right, Up Down,) then keeper moves to that side and back to the middle, receives a bubble shot, The Server can decide to shoot AT ANY TIME forcing the GK to get set.
  • Next, Server calls a color. GK touches color cone then goes back to middle and receives bubble shot
  • Next, Server can call any direction or color and gk reacts accordingly and receives bubble shot
  • Make it harder by having GK turned around and then server yells go before shooting to signal GK to turn and face the shot

Coaching Points:

  • Stay low when moving to stay ready to face a shot
  • Whenever you see the shooter load up, stop moving and set your feet
