Play 1 Long to middle, AKA: A, Alfa,
Kick taker raises one are and runs start from PK spot.
CF blocks out keeper
ACM provides central striking or rebounding
Outside mid comes off line to provide back side cover in case the ball slips through
Three in back must recover immediately toward goal if possession is lost
Corner taker recover's onside to be available for 2nd cross and to allow us to keep pressure and numbers forward.
If we lose the possession nearest player forces ball carrier to play wide or back and defensive back 6 immediately recover toward our goal to prevent being countered.

Play 2 short AKA B, Beta, etc
CM or winger makes a shorrt un to the corner and stands approimateley 3 yards from the kicker so make it impoossible for the defeneder to interupt the pass. Runs are delayed based on movement of two in the corner
If the defensive team sends a two players out to cover the short kick, the kick is instead played long to the middle as there is more space near goal for us to redirect on goal.

Fire: RW makes the "fire run" toward corner and then turns sharply toward endline to open space for RB to cross, shoot first time or take a touch and then cross/shoot if space is there.
Runs need to be delayed or altered to allow for the delay in the cross/shot.
As the ball is traveling, every player near it's path must try to get a touch to deflect and surprise the keeper.
As the oppoent is about to win good possession recovering runs must be made to slow the chance of being countered.
We all must be determined to break up the play so we don't get caught. This might mean a foul on the opponent with the ball to prevent attacking pass.

Defending Corners
Basic positioning for corners to middle of the box
Body shape to see ball, mark & dangerous space,
Track your opponent and give a little bump it they are getting to the ball first to throw them just a little off balance, yet not cause a penalty.
Attack the ball, we do everything possible to keep it from dropping in front of our goal.
5 yard sprint when keeper commands Up or Step, assess while sprinting to keep defensive shape and sprint further if play demands.
Near side Midfielder and CB sprint out to cover short if they send second player to corner this demands immediate shift of other players as shown in arrows above to help cover space in danger area.
Ball must not land untouched in front of goals. Head high and wide and travel with the ball.
Conter attack:
Upon winning possession, we look to connect up field, wide or forward, and then to switch play left or right. Great opportunity to catch the opponent with too few in the back, especially with a caught ball from our GK or a rebound to one of our players in space and able to scan the field.
With the ball away from pressure all players must move quickly to support and to get players offside.
