Set-Up:
Field is 30yds x 35yds, with 5 yard central zone.
Balls located centrally off to the side with the Coach.
3 teams of 5 in different color pinnies.
Instructions: The coach plays a ball in to one of the attacking team who attempt to connect 5 passes to then transfer ball across to other grid to score a point, ball must touch the ground in the central area. The defending team defends with 1 player against 4. The 3 remaining defenders are off to the side. Play 3 minutes then rotate defending team.
Progression: on interception teams flip roles, Coach re-starts with ball in, defenders must exit the field before applying pressure.
Coaching Points:
> Weight of pass & touch.
> Create passing lanes and angles
>Communication as to where & when you want the ball.
> Head up to see when players are moving into/out of space.

Set Up: 15X25 Grid
Organization:
Play 4v4 with a diamond formation. This allows for maximum use of space and re-enforces the use of triangles and options for the player on the ball.
Focus on players spreading out and playing in a diamond formation to create lots of triangles. Encourage lots of creativity when attacking.
