Part 1

Organisation:

  • 3v3 + 1. 

Coaching Points:

  • BP team will have an overload, can we find the spare player?
  • WHEN: Once we have a player with space and time on the ball, 
  • WHAT: can players make forward runs in behind to penetrate into the scoring zone?
  • HOW: Types of runs: Overlapping, underlapping, Behind or In front CB, outwards, inwards.
  • WHERE: Attacking half
  • WHY: To create scoring opportunities.

Part 2

Organisation:

  • 7v7 + 1 (or 2). Scoring zones in both ends. Organise in a 2-4-1 shape when attacking and 2-3-2 when defending (4-1-2)

Coaching Points:

  • Reinforce forward runs. Now in a more realistic scenario and with specific positions.
  • Work on WHO, WHEN, HOW.
  • Manage defending team.

Progressions:

  • Player that enter the scoring zone will face a 1v1 situation.
  • Support to make it 2v1.
