Area size:
· 20x10 yards.
· Two mini goals, one each in on opposite liens.
Organisation:
· Ten player’s total.
· Split into two equal teams.
· Players stand next to the goal.
· One player passes the ball to their opponent, and both join in a1v1 in the middle.
· The first player to score in the mini goal wins.
· Players swap sides after each go so they all have a turn at passing and receiving the ball.
Each team will call out a number 1-5 The number they shout out is the number of players that that team will send out into the middle, this can create between a 1v1 - 1v5,. The team that scores gets as many points as players the oposion has in the middle, if it is a 1v5 and the 1 scores, that team gets 5 points.
Timings:
· 10minutes.
Primary focus:
· Small touches' keeping the ball close.
· Quick change of direction with the ball to get around the opponent.
· Accurate shot into in the goal.
Expectations:
· Short, sharp burst of energy.
· Composure in front of goal.
· Concentration.
· Full focus.
Progressions (Harder):
1. Adding in a time limit.
2. Only week foot finishes.
Regressions (Easier):
1. Having two goals for each team to score in.
Success criteria:
· The player who passed the ball is passing and then moving into the middle quickly.
· Beating the defender in the 1v1.
· Getting the shot off quickly after beating the defender.
· Getting the shot on target.
Coaching interventions used throughout:
· Freeze– Stopping the practice when needed.
· Walkthrough– Used when the session has been frozen. I will show the players how I want the session to look and explain how to deal with specific situations that may arise during this session.
Fly by – Constant verbal feedback while the session is going on, without stopping the session.
Mainly concurrent feedback will be used.

4-goal game.
5v5 scrimmage. Two goals can be scored in. No GK. Players must score in alternate goals.
Progressions.
Make goals further apart
Focus on moving the ball quickly, taking lots of shots.
Multi ball game, place lots of soccer balls around the playing aria. Limited brakes, high ball rolling time.

Timings:
· 15minutes.
Primary focus:
· Area1: Players cutting inside using the outside of their right foot and aiming for the right corner of the goal.
· Area2: Getting the weight of the pass-through correct and then beating the goal keeper with the shot.
· Area3: Moving the ball to the right, setting yourself and aiming across the goalkeeper into the left corner.
· All three areas: keeping the ball close to the body, using lots of little touches, then moving the ball out of feet and getting the shot of quickly.
Expectations:
· Short, sharp burst of energy with a variety of shots on goal to score.
· Concentration.
· Full focus.
· Using the correct technique for that specific area.
Conditions:
· Must do what is instructed for each area, no changes allowed.
Progressions (Harder):
1. Moving the cones further back.
2. Area2: after the pass, the player must use a first-time shot.
3. All areas: the player receives a through ball from a teammate and then completes the task.
Regressions (Easier):
1. After a player has completed area 2, they will run back around and through the cones as a player at area number 3 dribbles past their cones, runs beyond them and then cuts the ball back to the other player for a cross. (Area 3.1)
Success criteria:
· Players are using the correct technique to get past the cones and then the correct technique for that specific shot.
· High percentage of shots on target.
· Goals being scored and in in the correct part of the goal.
