Keep away from the tagger!
Same area, the taggers do not have a ball and the non-taggers do.
The red players are the non-taggers and are looking to protect their ball from the taggers (blue players) whilst staying inside the area! The blue players are the taggers and are looking to touch the top of a non-taggers soccer ball, NOT KICK IT OUT! Once a players soccer ball is touched they have to do 10 toe taps.
Change the taggers every 2 minutes!

Numbers Game
Set up like above. Split the group into 2, give each player a number.
Different to previous numbers games, players start on the corner and have to run through their goal and then contest the ball and try and score in the other teams goal.

Scrimmage
Same set up and teams as previous exercise.
If you have the luxury of having an assistant coach you could try and do 2 small sided scrimmages where players will get more touches of the ball.

King Of The Ring (10 mins)
King of the Ring
15y by 15y area, each player has a ball.
Players dribble around the area, they have to keep their ball close and try and kick other players soccer balls out the square. If a players soccer ball is kicked out they have to collect it and do 10 toe taps before they can return to the game. Let the players try and understand the game without any coaching input for 1 minute and then ask them about the game: how can you protect the ball better? what do you have to look out for when you are playing?
Players are looking to use their body to shield the ball and prevent anyone from kicking it out. Whilst they are protecting the ball players are looking to kick another players ball out.
