Screen 1 (15 mins)

⚽Practice Organization

  • Technical drill for cutting the ball enhancement and intermittent running ability development
  • Please observe the image and try to apply the running movements with their respective intensities
  • Arrow colours demonstrate the running intensities
  • We place 2 different colours of cones (we shape a square shape, 25 meters each side)
  • The diagonal of the square has to me 20-22,5 meters

⚽Key Coaching Points

  • Players start from one side and terminate their try at the other side
  • Every try is initiated with a fast drive between the cones
  • The actual prospective action is an all out quick ball drive towards the top right corner(around the yellow zone)
  • Our players execute a fast cut(either outer or inner)around the cone
  • After leaving the cone our players have to drive fast towards the opposite top cone(25meters very fast ball drive)
  • Our player cut around the top left cone and they drive slowly the ball until the down right cone
  • Final action is a slalom between the cones
  • Players rest for 20'' seconds(passive static rest)
  • Player execute the same motif from the other side
  • Players execute 2 sets of 8-10 repetitions according to their actual level
  • Rest between the sets has to be strictly 4:00' minutes
  • Stay highly hydrated
  • Execute 6 changes of direction for warm up (do not execute them in a sharp manner from the start, try to go step wisely)
  • Track the run and send me the results
