Objective: Move the Ball Quickly - Find Spare Player
Organization:
- Field Size - 30x28
- Time: 4 x 2 min games, 1 min rest
- 10 consecutive passes = 1 point
- Neutrals on 2 touch
Conditions:
- 4 neutrals to improve relationship of 6,8,10,9
- Neutrals on 2 touch / Everyone else on 3 touch
- Natural transitions from attack to defense and vice versa
Attacking Key Points:
- Structure - optimize space (width, depth, height) to create passing lines
- Positioning - body orientation, adjusting positioning / height based on visual cues (time on the ball vs. no time on the ball)
- Recognize opposition pressing behaviors - are they pressing? how? Recognize free man facing forward.
- Manipulate the opponent's structure - playing inside to outside and vice versa
- 4 neutral's occupying different passing lines (vertically & horizontally) while maintaining close connection
- Counter press immediately upon loss of possession
Defensive Key Points:
- Block central passes - deny from playing through
- Protect the space between lines - read passes to deny free man facing forward
- Move together - condense space as we build pressure
- Utilize neutral's in transition to attacking moments
