Set up in gym 10 -14 players SSG
In the centre play 2 v2 or 3v3 depending on numners. In the final third play a 1v1. Play always starts with the keeper. Utilize the wingers (outside players) for width. Striker should be mobile and always looking for space and penetrating runs. Striker can use the midfield players to create a 2v1 situation.
Attacking priciples coached; mobility, creativity, width and penetrating runs. Make sure players are passing with the inside foot and receiving on the back foot.

pass/receive warm up (20 mins)
40 x 30 area 2 teams of 5 players. Team white starts in the triangles. Team red plays them a pass and then moves to the triangle. Player in the triangle receives the ball and must exit the triangle via a different gate than the ball entered, dribble out and play the net pass. A point is awarded for each successful pass and reception.
Coaching emphasis: inside foot passing, back foot receiving, change of direction, head up, open the hips for quick movement. Once the players have mastered the idea introduce defenders to pressure the player with the ball.
