Working with CDM 6 - Movement to get on the ball, how to play forward and build through the press.

Two big goal either end of the pitch

Practice Design
Blue team - GK 4-3-3 - removing CAM and front 3
Red team - GK 4-4-2 - removing back 4
Format - 7v7
Blocks - 3x 5 minutes - 2 minutes rest
In possession team
Move the ball quickly
Open body to receive the ball (play forward)

Organization
Ball will always start with the blue GK, looking to build to find CDM (6) and play forward to score in the big goal and also the mini goals. If the red team win the ball they have 6 seconds to in the main big goal.
Block 1 - Red 9 + 10 will press together - Reds will stay narrow and compact. Can GK play straight into CDM (6), FB's to pin red wingers and 8 to pin CM's
Block 2 - Red 9 + 10 - pivot press - Can GK or CB's play FB's and CDM (6) play off the blind shoulder of 9 + 10
Block 3 - Red 9 + 10 don't press and sit - Can CB's drive forward with the ball to engage

Block 2
Still starting with the Blue GK
Reds 9 + 10 pivot press and screen any passes into (6)
GK to support CB's and look to switch the play quickly.
(6) to stay high and drop into pockets of space and scan before receiving the ball. Helping the decision when on the ball, turn out and play forward or play back to CB's.
Then the ball travailing from one side to the other, can the FB recongnize to go higher to create space for (6)
When secured and playing forward can CB's become narrow and compact to help build with balance and GK to step higher.
Challenge for the reds - When they win the ball they have 6 seconds to score.

Block 3
GK starts with the ball.
Red 9+10 - don't press and sit off CB's
This shoulder trigger the CB's to drive forward with the ball and engage the red 9 + 10
FB to make a forward run to open space for (6) to get on the ball.

Blue GK will start the practice - Challenge is for the blue team to score in the big goals and mini goals.
How to get CDM (6) on the ball with a RED 9 + 10 press. Can the GK play straight into (6)? (6) to receive on back and play forward.
When playing forward can the CB's become narrow and compact to build with balance and GK to step up the pitch as well.
Movement from (8) to play off shoulders of the red CM's.
If the ball is with right FB can the left FB come inside to cover if anything breaks down.
Challenge for the reds, when they win the ball they have 6 seconds to score.
