Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Girls 05 ECNL Session 2 (Start Time: 2020-07-09 19:15:00)

Warm Up P2 (15 mins)

Objective:

To continue to warm up the players, getting them to think on various movement patterns that relate to the technical exercise

Organization:

6 players to each line.

Part 1.

A plays to B who checks at an angle.

B player back to A

A plays To C who moves across at the correct moment

C dribbles at speed to the end of the line

Progression:

Part 2

A plays to B who checks at an angle.

B player back to A

A plays To C who moves across at the correct moment

C Combines with B who offers a good angle of support

C Dribbles to the end of the line

Coaching points:

Receive the ball on the front foot body open

Look up before pass

Check at angle

Move quickly off the ball

Plus Pattern #2 (10 mins)

Objective:

To improve accuarcey in passing while developing a concetpual understanding of providing angles of support and movement off the ball in a functional setting.

Organization:

10 players minimum (2 or 3 organizations depending on total numbers)

Rectangle 20x15 Yards

Players Move, A-B-C-D

Start by going to the right, then switch to the left

Progression:

Switch to left.

Passive defender decides to get tight to D or drop off. Based on this player A decides to play to feet or through ball into space.

Coaching points:

Player A looks up, makes eye contact and starts at same time as player A on other side

Player B checks at angle and play a 'lay off pass back to A

Player A Plays a through Ball (weight off pass very important)

Player D Completes a counter move and recieves the ball on the run

Lay Off (10 mins)

Objective:

To develop finishing playing off the # 9 running in the space between the center backs 

Organization:

As illustrated. Players follow pass. Next line starts when #9 receives the ball

#9 moves at slight angle to provide passing opportunity

8/10 don't run too early

Down The side (10 mins)

Objective:

Defenders have now pinched in, so we play around the back 4 to create a cross and finish opportunity.
