7v7 Small Side Game with 2 defenders restricted to the their defensive areas. Both teams have 2 goals. (15 mins)
Set Up: Half pitch ,4 small goals, defensive area marked 10 yards either side ,2 defenders from each team in the defensive zone and 5v5 in centre area.
Method: Coach will play ball in from the sideline to the centre area. Players will work to score, Red team shooting in the 2 small goals at the half way line and green team in the opposite end. The 2 defenders in each defensive area are restricted to these areas and cannot leave but they can be supported by their teammates.
Coaching Points: Encourage players to move the ball efficiently across the field. Emphasize the importance of quick ball circulation and switching the play from one side to the other to create spaces and exploit defensive weaknesses.Stress the significance of off-the-ball movement for both attacking and defending players. Attackers should make dynamic runs to create passing options, while defenders should focus on maintaining proper positioning and staying goal-side of their opponents.Effective communication is crucial in this setup. Encourage players to communicate with their teammates, especially when passing or defending in tight spaces. This can help in organizing the attack and defense effectively.Instruct the defending players to maintain a compact defensive shape within their designated areas. This means staying close to each other, cutting passing lanes, and closing down space to make it difficult for the attackers to penetrate.

Coaching Points :Emphasize the importance of accurate passing and maintaining possession of the ball. Encourage Red team players to make short, quick passes to build up their count of 10 passes, and stress the value of ball circulation to control the game.Teach players the significance of movement off the ball to provide passing options. Red team players should constantly look for open spaces and create passing lanes to support their teammates. For the Green team, emphasize the need for effective defensive pressure. Encourage them to press the Red team to win the ball back quickly and transition to attack immediately when they regain possession.Train both teams to make quick and informed decisions. Red team players should decide when to attempt the 10 passes and to take a chance on goal, while Green team players should decide whether to press, intercept, or attack when they win the ball.Stress the importance of communication and teamwork on both sides. Encourage players to talk to each other, providing information about their position, the count of passes, and the location of opponents. Effective teamwork can help both teams achieve their objectives.

3v2 attackers v defenders with transition to attack/defend (15 mins)
3v2 attackers v defenders with transition to attack/defend (15 mins)
Set Up: 4 small goals, 2 teams ,ball always starts with red team(attackers) ,Half pitch
Method: 3 attackers v 2 defenders, attackers scoring in the 3 small goals at the half way line, if defenders turnover possession they are to attack small goal at the other end of the pitch.
Coaching Points:Encourage both attackers and defenders to communicate effectively on the field. Communication helps in coordinating movements, calling for the ball, and organizing defensive efforts. For attackers, teach them when and how to press the defenders to regain possession quickly. For defenders, focus on applying effective pressure to win the ball back.Ensure that defenders maintain a compact and organized defensive shape to limit the space available for the attackers. This can make it harder for attackers to find passing lanes.
