Description:
Pass number 1 for the middle player to check in and pass back. Once the passback is made the player will receive with the front foot into a direction and make the pass on the other side. The combination play will happen with the player following the combination.

One group will do a 5v4 and another group will do a 4v3. Players will rotate in both groups for everyone to have an opportunity to be in both situation.
Description:
This small sided game takes place in a 20 x 20 yard area and focuses on players ability to maintain possession under increased pressure from defenders. This practice has a central 10 x 10 yard zone for players to keep possession with four mini-goals placed on each side of the outer playing area.The team of 5 starting with possession, blue in this example, play two touch to keep the ball away from the defender, yellow. After every successful two passes, an extra yellow defender may enter the zone looking to win back possession. When possession is won, the yellow team produces a quick finish in the closest of the four mini-goals.

Checking shoulders for defenders joining in from outside zone
Passing tempo and accuracy
Recognising how to move the ball under pressure

Connect with floater to play out of pressure situations

Description:
This practice takes place in a full half of a pitch and focuses on a team’s midfield rotations during thebuildup phase.The midfield area is split into four squares with three players from each team occupying these areasat a time.The ball must enter the middle zone in the buildup of play and at least one central pass must beplayed before exiting the zone.One extra attacker may enter the middle zone to create a 4 v3 overload and connect centrally. If thedefending team win possession, they can build up centrally to finish in either of the two mini-goals
Coaching Point:
Rotations inside/outside middle zone
Good movement to create spaces centrally
Quality passing in possession
Communication from players when rotating
Play through out wide
Quality crossing and finishing
Progression:
Centre back drives into middle zone and striker rotates inside to receive behind defendingmidfield line.
Fullbacks come inside to connect centrally
Winger comes inside and rotates with attacking midfielder who moves out wide.
