Ignition
Number passing:
Set up: 2 groups, each team with a ball, grid (30yds x 30yds)
Instructions:
each player from both teams is assigned a number from 1-5
players pass to their teammate in a sequence (1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-1 etc.)
team that is making the most passes within 90 sec. wins
two touch passing
Variation:
players must run around the nearest cone after completing a pass
reverse sequence (5-4, 4-3, 3-2 etc.)
limit number of touches
add a second ball for each team
passing pattern: short short long
4v4 + 4 keep away
Coaching Points:
weight of pass
accuracy
vision
timing of pass
teams move around grid constantly
importance of first touch to control and prepare ball

Game
Game: 9v9
Set up: Half way playing width. 1-3-4-1
Instructions: Ball must be passed in to end zone to a teammate to shoot.

Shooting
Shooting Circuit:
Set up:
3 cones 15 yards out from 18 yard line. Station one has a second cone 10 yards out.
Instructions:
1. Player at ,station 1 dribbles at second cone, performs move and takes a shot.
2. After shooting player one shows for player at 2 for a wall pass and shot.
3. After player at 2 shoots, quickly transition to station 3 for a 1v1.

Partner rondo
Set up: 1 for each group of 10.
Create 2 10 yd x 10 yd grids next to each other. 4v2 in one grid and 4v0 in the other. Create a slalom of cones to the outside and inbetween the two grids.
Instructions:
Players in grid with 4 v 2 play normal rondo. Players in the grid of only 4 pass the ball around. When a player makes a mistake and loses possession, they and the person to their right must leave the grid, run through the slalom and get to the open grid of 4 to defend.
Coaching points:
Quality of passing/receiving, vision, away from pressure, 1-2 touch, open stance, support distance and angle, creativity, communication.
