Set Up
3 x players on cones with extra balls, cones placed either side of goal with another placed 20 yds out in line with middle of the goal with a pole 5 yds in front of it.
The drill starts when the attacker runs through the gates, P1 plays the ball across the goal to the attacker for the player to hit first time, the attacker then turns backs up several yds and calls to P2 for the next ball, this is crossed in and the attacker is to respond to the cross, whether its a volley, header or shot. Rotate the players to ensure that all players have opportunities in all positions.

Pitch divided into thirds, both teams play a 1-3-1 formation with a goalkeeper. There must always be 3 players in the middle zone, if the defender carries the ball into the middle zone then a midfielder must drop in to cover, once the defender has lost possession or passed the ball he must then return to his own zone.
