Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 who fires ball into the player A. Player a lays ball off to player 1 who makes a run across and then fires ball into player B. Player 2 makes a run round to receive lay off from player B and passes to player 3. Players 3 and 4 repeat process from that end and players A and B turn to face the direction of play.
Encouarge work of touch from players A and B as if strikers protecting ball from a defender and good overlapping runs from outside players.
Progress the drill by having player 2 fire ball into player B who lays back to player A and that player can roll ball to either overlapping run of player 1 or 2. This encourages weight of passing and link up play of strikers A and B

Rotation of middle 3.
Player 1 receives ball from any feeder (but encourage receiving player to look for space for a longer pass) and player 2 runs across player 1 to pass ball to any feeder who has no ball. Whilst this is happening player 3 makes space for a pass from a feeder (again look for space for a longer pass). As soon as player 2 has passed the ball, player 3 demands a pass from a feeder and player 1 then must get to player 3 to pass ball to an empty feeder. Player 2 then receives and player 3 must get to player 2 and pass to an empty feeder.
Change middle 3 after 2-3 minutes.
Encourage middle 3 to find space for receiving pass. Feeders can progress by playing floated ball or drilled balls to receiving midfielder

Work on build up play, into strikers for hold up and play ball out wide for progressive full backs.
Player 1 (full back) starts with ball and fires ball to midfielder, player 2, who in turn controls and hits the second striker, player 3. Player 4 runs across and receives lay off and rolls ball into path of player 1. Players 3 and 4 then attack the cross with back up at the end of the box from player 2.
Defenders fairly passive in the build up but defend the cross. Woek both sides of pitch.
Enocurage timing of run from full back to run on to the cross. This is dependent of good lay off from player 4. Good movement from strikers in the box. Crosser can vary by pulling a cross back to supporting midfielder.

Bak to Back Goal Game
Reds start in possession and must make a minimum of 5 passes before they can attempt to score. Team in possession can score into either goal. Ball can be transferred to opposite half to teammate. When ball is transferred 1 red and 1 blue must remain in the half whilst both teams move into the other half.
Game encourages switch of play and hold up play. No restriction on number of passes to transfer ball but always 5 passes before goal can be scored.
Encourage possession and movement. Can sole striker move into a position to receive ball easily and receive support whilst holding the ball up off the defender.
