Organization: Methodology: Discovery Game
3 v 3 +1 mini Goals/end zones/ gates
Mirrored Activity: 20 min 4 Games 4:1min work to rest
The Defending Team is set up in a 2:1
The defenders can only defend in the half they are positioned in. The Neutral Player will play with the team in possession and can be used by both yellow and red.
The Attacking team starts with a 2 v1 in the build up zone. 1 attacker can advance into the attacking half to create a 3v2.
Can use 4 small goals, end zone, or end line to dribble over as a way to score.
Principles & Sub Principles: Coaching details
Moment: AO: Attacking Organization - All players understand that first look to see the gaps/space by playing forward, through or over. If the opponents block is tight and they have created density, we have to provoke or attract players to the ball or play through central players. IF YOU CANNOT FACE FORWARD FIND SOMEONE ELSE FACING FORWARD.
Q: What does the team in possession need to do to the defending team in order to create an opportunity to create numerical superiority?
White team try to break the lines and score in single goal. Orange defend in a low block and try to counter to two mini goals.
. Using the space to it's maximum. Quick passes, option for the player on the ball. Good accuracy and weight of pass, good body shape receiving.
