Warm Up

As they start coming in they have 5 minutes of "free time" where we push them to practise kick ups, if not able to they can kick it let it bounce and go again or kick it and catch.

Ball Mastery Warm up - 10 minutes


Technical- 

Set up:

  • 1 Ball Per person

Execution:

  • Each Player will start with a ball each and start dribbling around grid starting with outside inside dribbling with right foot and then changing to left foot. 
  • Then each player will perform outside inside with both feet shifting from one foot to the other.
  • Each player will then dribble with their ball and perform outside inside roll on the fright foot and then move on to the left foot.
  • We will then move on to our turns which we will focus on 4 main turns which will be Cruyff Turn, L turn, Drag back and then inside of the foot turn. (can regress to 2 basic turns)
  • Each player will start off and and dribble into a direction and practise each of the 4 turns 4 times.
  • We will then finally move onto the dynamic ball mastery where we will utilise the step overs and turns. 
  • Each player will perform a single stepover (double step overs as a progression)with their weaker foot and then push out with the strong foot to change direction and perform a turn. 

Coaching Points:

  • Players should look to apply stepovers and faints when dribbling with the ball.
  • Players focussing on and using the correct technique when dribbling with the ball .
  • The speed of the turns, explosiveness once changed direction and also ensuring everything is efficient and correct.

King of the Hill

General Practise King of the hill- 15 minutes

Set up:

  • 1 Ball Per group 
  • Each coach will float between all groups giving encouragement, bullseye and concurrent feedback
  • Make 5 small 1v1 lanes but will split into groups for rest.

Execution:

  • The ball will start at the top of the group where the "Defender" will pass to the "Attacker". 
  • The attacker will then dribble and try and beat the defender 1v1 and dribble across the red line, if the ball is turned over the defender will then become an attacker and try and dribble through the red line on the opposite side. 
  • after 2 minutes the player who started with the ball will move up to the next grid to change opponent. (7 changeovers).

Coaching Points:

  • Players should look to apply stepovers and faints when dribbling with the ball.
  • Players focussing on and using the correct technique when dribbling with the ball .
  • Players must take and understand what they have learned from the warm up and implement this into the game.

Execution Attackers Vs Defenders Game:

The defending team will play the ball to the attacker and go 3v3 (2 resting each team), the aim of the attacker is to beat the player and then dribble through the cones corresponding to their team colour. 

if the defending team turns the ball over they must score in the corresponding cones.

Main Practise

Skill/SSG- 

1v1 Hazard's into box

Ronaldo SSG

Set up:

  • Group of 8 (1v1) (2 going at a time)
  • If Hugo comes back he can go in goal if not we place a cone in the goal to act as a Gk.

Execution For Hazard Practise:

Attacker (Red) will play the ball to Defender (Blue) who then will play back to red and have a 1v1.

Red will beat blue and then take a shot into the mini goal, the round resets with them joining the que at the back and then another two will play.

If Defender (Blue) wins the ball they can then counter and score in either mini goal.

Progression:

  • Both sides go simultaneal to each other and then goes into a 2v2, when play breaks down both attackers must corss the yellow line for the 2v2 to start.
