Outside backs and wingers drop to create a Team shape of 2-3-1
If outside back chooses drive, the outside wing on the same side will run diagonally to create space for the outside back to isolate the opponents outside back 1v1. This leaves two defenders in the back line which need to center themselves to the field.
As the opponent closes down space, the striker/center-mid will provide support on the inside for the outside back to connect with to combine around the opposition. Team shape: 1-2-3-1
As the outside back breaks into the attack half the outside (left) outside wing will look to join in the final third. Team shape: 1-2-1-3

Outside backs and wingers drop to create a Team shape of 2-3-1
If outside back chooses to connect to the center-back, center-back looks to outside winger.
As the outside winger receives an dribble the ball into the attacking third the team's shape changes to a 3-1-2 and the striker/center-mid holds.
If the outside back chooses to dribble the outside wing rises and provides space for the outside back to dribble. The team's shape moving into the 3-1-2 earlier.
As the winger carries the ball the outside back on the same side should look to support the play by providing an option to play back in the attacking third. Team shape: 1-2-1-3

Outside backs and wingers drop to create a Team shape of 2-3-1
The outside back connects with the midfielder, breaking one line of pressure.
The center mid sits low under the outside midfielder incase pressure is applied and they cannot turn.
In this situation the pressure is tight and the outside midfielder plays the way they face, back to the centermid.
The center mid then looks to connect centrally or switch the point of attack.
