4 Teams of 3 players. Only 1 ball is in play.
Each team stands behind a mannequin (or cone). Only when the player is next in line
to be involved can he step in front of the mannequin.
The coach begins the sequence by passing the ball to any player.
The receiving player must make a pass to the team to his right. At the same time he
is being "pressed" by a player from the team on his opposite mannequin.
After releasing the ball to his right, the passer must then run to the mannequin to his
left.
The trigger/cue for closing down the receiving player is when the passer releases the
ball.
Introduce the option to play in whichever direction the player chooses. If they play
right they must move to the group on the left and vice versa.

A plays to B who plays to the middle Blue player. The blue player looks to score on small goal. Red A presses attacker, Red B covers behind.
When Red wins the ball, that is a trigger for player C to find the ball. It is also a trigger for the second Blue player to step and defend Red C. C must look to receive ball in one of the two yellow gates. Red looks to score on the small sided goal.
FOCUS ON-
- Hold your LOC
- Pressure/Cover
- Being patient in defending and dont over engage, compact the goal
- When you win the ball, can you play a forward pass quickly
- Join the attack at speed with the pass
- If you cant play forward, keep the ball!

A passes to the #7 and then passes to B, who passes to C, C then goes 4V4+1 with green. Rotate left and right side after 4 reps. #7, #11 are neutrals on the outside, #6 is neutral central.
Defensive Team Focus on:
- We are working in zone 2,3,4 when they are below our LOC.
- #9 is marked up with the #6
#7,#11, #10 are compact behind the ball protecting the small goal
- We only press at our LOC. Make sure we drop behind our line
- Anticipate the ball out to the wide players and focus on your wide approach
- Let them possess, once they ball is played to the LB/RB press to force inside, dont press the CB. We want them to play negative.
- 7/11 continue to defend 2/3 if they take touch inside and dribble. Look to win the ball on that trigger.
- Keep the middle compact.
- If the CB dribbles into the midfield space, 9 step, 10 drop behind, 7/11 tuck inside and let them go wide.
