1V1 ATTACKING: THREE DIFFERENT START POSITIONS

Defender starts by passing to attacking player. All game are played to endlines. Switch lines when done

1. Defender begins at the far side of the grid

2. Defender starts half way

3. One defender plays pass diagonally across grid to attacker. One attackers first touch, they can defend

Attacker attempts to dribble pas the defender from one side of the box to the other. If they are tackled, they become he defender

Defender begins at the back of the box.

1V1 CONTINUOUS

One player starts with a ball in the center. They can attack any goal. Defending players must stay on their endlines until the attacking player dribbles into their zone

If the attacker scores, they return for another ball and attack a different goal. If the defender wins the ball or a shot goes wide or ball goes out of bounds, the defending player now becomes the dribbler and the attacker stays to become the defending player in that zone.

First player to three goals wins

The goalkeeper controls the practice by throwing the ball out to the attacker. The GK also calls out a number. The number called must run to defend 1v1 therefore the defenders come from various angles to pressure the attacker

Player #1 passes to Player #2. Player #2 passes back to Player #1 and defends. Switch lines when done.

Rotation: Line #1 rotates to Line #3. Line #2 rotates to Line #1 Line #3 rotates to line #2

1 point for dribbling through a gate, 3 points for scoring on goal

Progress: 2 team competition. Attack and defend for time. Most goals wins

1v1 FACE UP

1V1 FACE UP

Players face each other and pass back and forth. On coaches command, the player with the ball becomes the attacker and the player without the ball becomes the defender. Each player works to dribble the ball out of the square to go 1v1 with the goalkeeper

Once the player dribbles out of the square into the attacking zone, the defender ahs to stop and let them go

Progress:

Defenders can chase attacking players outside the square

Add a second defender that the attacking player has to beat once they have dribbled out of the square
