Training for U6 players focusing on ball mastery and agility/coordination. Six stations 6-7 minutes each. Do 2 stations, give a water break, 2 stations water break. If a player wants water, let them get it. Don't stop for water too often unless there is excessive heat. Purple cones are social distance markers. Make sure waiting players are on a purple cone. Always end each session with a cheer. This training is or both practice days in the same week. i.e This training is for Monday and Wednesday.

ORGANIZATION (Physical Environment /Equipment / Players)
Each player needs a ball and a lane 12 yd long and minimum 7 yards wide.
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Coach says Go!. Players try and dribble safely to the other side of the grid. If they go out of their area or the coach touches their ball with a pool noodle, player must dribble their ball around the flag before going safely to the end.

15x20 field, 2 pugg goals, 1 ball per player, pool noodle
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Players dribble the ball past the coach and shoot on the goal. Coach tries to touch their ball with the pool noodle.
Coaching points: if player touch is too long, get it and give it back; force players to dribble with foot away from coach.

Cones 2 yards apart with cones 8 yards across, 1 ball per player, Maximum 3 players per line.
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Do each activity 3 times.
Non ball progression: Run, skip, gallop, side shuffle, run backward.
With ball progression: Players dribble with outside of toe toward the cone. Right foot only/inside cut around cone, Left foot only/inside cut around cone. Right foot only/outside cut around cone/ Left foot only, outside cut around cone, either foot, pull back at cone.

4-6 cones creating a box or circle. 1 cone for each player 8 yards from the center, different types of balls (mini soccer ball, football, tennis ball, rubber ball, etc.), 1 goal per player
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Players run to the center, get 1 ball and dribble it back to their cone. Play continues until all of the balls are gone. Coach says, Go!. Players put the ball back 1 at a time, and shoot on goal.
Variations: right foot only, left foot only, pull back, popcorn flick

2 discs 8 yards apart with a cone in the middle. 1 ball per player.
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Coach says, Go!. Staying behind the disc, players shoot the ball and try to knock over their cone. If they miss, they may get their ball and run to the other side and try again. First one to knock over the cone wins. This can also be timed. How many times can you knock over the cone in 1 minutes?
