Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Defending crosses

• 9 v 8
• Defending team 1-4-1-3-0
• Attacking team 0-2-1-3-2
• Only the blue team players can enter the yellow zone.
• the player who enters the yellow zone has only 2 touch, either he can play a back pass or else he can put a cross inside the box.
• After sometime allow 1 red player to enter the zone to press.
• Red team has to score in the 2 small goals.
• Attacking principles: Keep switching the ball from one flank to other, Use the space, crossing accuracy, strikers attack the ball.
• Defending principles: Stay compact, Judge the ball in the air, communication between keeper and back four, clearance accuracy, pressing after clearance.
