Reflection

At the weekend we lost 5-3. Two of the 5 goals came down our right side. The right back found defending 1v1 difficult as at times he was positianly lost. This lead to him losing out in 1v1 situations as his starting position was to high or to narrow which resulted in him not getting tight enough to apply pressure on the ball. Seconadly, the right CB failed to provide cover when needed. There for this session was heavily focused on the RB and RCB to support both players to be more effective in there defending.

I was happy with my set up and my delivery. I spent more time on the 'progression' than I wanted, mainly working with my starting RB & RCB from the weekend. This was due to not getting enough success within the part of the session. The RB has demonstrated he is finding the physical element difficult when in 1v1 situations. Therefore I worked with on being o the front foot and getting tight one the wide players first touch. This had some success, but lead to the ball being played behind the full back which triggered the CB to provide some cover. Following the weekends game and this session, we need lots of work defensively.
