Fun Game (Gates Dribbling) (15 mins)
Gates Dribbling
Players dribble round the 4v4 pitch while trying to go through as many gates as they can, 1pt per gate.
Two players cant go through the gates at same time , if player is going through gate as a player arrives they must keep moving until they find a empty gate.
Coaching Points - Players to take little touches when in around players to keep ball safe, players to take bigger touches to get away from other players and to attack empty spaces. Players need to play heads up so they can see the gates, space etc
Progression - Players to do a stop start to go through every gate to get 2pts
Players count there own scores.

Right Foot Step Over with Turn
Groups of 2 , 3 Max to maximise touches.
Player 1 - Dribbles towards Mannequin taking little touches to keep ball safe before executing Right Foot step Over before takiing a big touch past the Mannequin as he approaches the red cone at opposite side he executes a turn (stop with Right foot & jump over ball in one motion before quickly turning , taking a big touch away from red cone (man) then a playing a punched pass to his team just before reaching the mannequin.
Coaching Points - Dribble with head up, small little stabbing touches approaching Mannequin , Technique over speed for Step Overs but encourage kids to do it as fast as they can, big touch away from Mannequin but turn into small stabbing touches we approach Red cone, Technique over speed for turn & then big touch and punched pass with inside of right foot back to partners feet. Start part of skill needs to be big and explosive to get away from man.
