SSG
Organisation
Blue Team (Defending) set up as 1-5-1-2
Yellow Team (Attacking) set up as 1-2-3-3
Ball Starts with Yellow team GK. Defensive unit are to implement what they learnt from the drill.
When blue team win possession they are to break quickly and WB's to support 2 CF's where possible.
Conditions
2/3 pitch and tapered in where Yellow FBs would be
Targets/Challenges
Goals scored as normal.
Blues must play direct when they have ball and score within 10s.
Yellows get double points if they score through the central defence.
Key Factors
A 532 has a very strong central spine but can be weak in wide areas if wing backs have pushed forward. Ideally in a 11v11 I'd have the 2 marking the wide striker but in this situation with less players centrally to support the wing back has to come out of the back line.
3 must press WM player
6 must shuffle across to mark WS
4/5 also shuffle more centrally (2v1 against striker)
8 screens pass into central striker. Sometimes has to drop into defensive line if players are out of position.
2 drops into a more RB position (open body to see what's behind him)
One of blue attackers needs to stay high. The other can choose to play as a second 9 or drop in as a 10.
If ball is played centrally into Striker then back three must be very narrow and one of them will work as a sweeper if needed. Also no.3 and 2 must drop in to make a back 5 if possible.
Progression
Yellows change to 242 therefore Blues have 2 central strikers to deal with.

Drill
Organisation/Conditions
Half pitch
Blues play 151 (1532)
Yellows play 33 (1433) although CM is to stay in centre circle as feeder and extra option
Challenges/Targets
Blues to defend goal and limit shots and goal scoring opportunities. Can they make three passes and hit mannequins on turn over of possession.
Yellows to score through middle or from wide area
Key Points
RWB to press the player receiving the ball (LM) then the RCB to slide across to mark LW. This sliding movement then triggers the other defenders to slide across with the LWB picking up the RW. The Blue CDM is to support RWB in case LM decides to cut inside and to stop split pass in to CF's feet. RWB to show LM outside channel.
If play is switched then the whole unit moves as one.
What if?
The ball goes straight into No.9's feet? 3 CB's to narrow up and the 2 x WBs to pick up LW/RW players dropping to make a back 5.
If LM/RM beats LWB/RWB then CDM to press on player with the ball and the WB then to recover and take up CDM position.
Progression
Coach becomes feeder to allow Yellow CM to play and cause more problems for Blues
