Support play in the build - phase 1

6v6 plus neutral

Score by playing a teammate into a scoring zone

Defenders not allowed inside zones

Bonus point for playing out on one/two touches

Coaching points:

- (first attacker) pass quality, timing, feet vs space

- (seconfd attacker) movement to create space (late run into box)

- (third attacker) support play to receive outside box

- paint the picture, how do scoring zones relate to positions? Striker specific movements, Winger specific movements, etc.

- combinations to get in/out efficiently

Phase two - to goals

Add goals & goalkeepers at each end,

Teams may score on either goal

goals are closed until a team plays into a zone,

change of possession closes the goals, team must find another zone during the build up

Coaching points:

- find the open zone early during transition, communication

- if direct play into zones is restricted, circulate the ball to find a channel
