Leadership Lines

How to Play the Game:  

• Divide into groups of 4-6 players each.
• Players number themselves and stand in order with #1 at the front.
• Coach calls “Go” and the front player becomes the leader.
• The following members mimic whatever movement or noise the “leader” does.
• When the coach calls a new number, that number moves to the front of the line and becomes the leader.
• Encourage creativity and celebrate different types of silly movement & noise ideas!

Progress the Game:  

• Play again, this time have the player at the back of each line call the number to switch.
• Introduce a ball to each line (to every player if possible). Play again, but now the leader has the ball and when leaders change the ball changes as well. Can use hands or feet to adjust the difficulty.
• Introduce “Line Switching” each time a number is called. The new Leaders are required to find an un-led empty line to join each time their number is called.
