Organization:
Players with a ball each in a 30x30 yard (open) grid.
Instructions:
The Coach will inquire, with his players, about the dribbling characteristics of three of the top players in the world: Messi, Xavi and Ronaldo. The Coach will use these three players to paint the picture and build the foundation for each player to learn.
Coaching Points:
Painting the Picture of each one of the player's characteristics:
* MESSI: Head up looking to get into the gaps using small, quick touches with the Pinky Toe (outside of the foot).
* XAVI: Head up to recognize when there's no gaps/space, then change of direction (12 o'clock to 6 o'clock), ball comes out of your feet, and then head and eyes up getting into the new space.
* RONALDO: Head up to see when there's a lot of space in front of you, then big touch to accelerate and get your head/eyes up and attack the space.
Progressions:
Spend a few minutes covering each Foundational Player's characteristics seperately and ensure the players have a good picture of the characteristics during each scenario.

Organisation
6 cones with 20x10 spacing as shown above
players form 2 lines and perform coaches commands
players must perform all stretches at a set pace of 25% being their minimum & 100% being their max
Instructions
Reapeat each of the following twice:
Set up A
-player start with 25% running pace to the first cone then rotate back to the same line
-players will then run to the first cone at 25% then on to the second cone at 50% running speed rotating back to there line at 25%
-in the same pace pattern of 25% to 50% perform the stretches below:
*High knees
*Heel kicks
*Open gates
*Close gates
*2 step push off
Set up B
The players must now up the pace pattern 75% -100% performing the stretches below
*Stop start push off
*Forward and Backward push off
*Feint
*Double Feint
*Stop & Change
*Fake & change

set the team in the shape for the season see above
add multiple balls and have the players knock the ball around in forward back and side to side patterns in there positions.
players must make sure not to pass two balls to the same player time and see how long they can pass for without mistake.
