Org.:
- 2 teams, 30x25L; 4 x 4 minutes
Instructions:
- Players go 3v3 and are allowed to switch lanes, as long as there is one player per lane (both sides of the ball). Look for moments of overlapping or freeze to paint the picture of the swap (one player dribbles into another lane, which will trigger another player to fill the vacated lane). Once horizontal space is balanced, introduce height and depth as supporting angles, to balance vertical space
Progressions
- Players can create 2v1/2v2
Coach Points/Ques.:
- Actions to look for: varying runs, interchanging player spaces, coordinating space
- How do we identify a moment to swap, or overlap?
- Where can you dribble to initiate the swap?
