Zeman Kick-Off

• Opposition will either press high and leave gaps in channels and leave space in behind, or drop low and leave space in front to exploit

• Virtual guarantee that you will gain an attacking advantage as you are placing the ball in the attacking phase - a throw-in in the attacking phase or a goal kick will be the worst possible outcome, and even then your side can still pressure and force errors upon the opposition

• As kick off will only be in our favour at start of a half or upon conceding a goal, it is rational to use this every time

Passing Options

• Groups of three ensure numerical superiority and likelihood of success, but also pull defenders from central positions exposing central attacking areas for striker and the other group of three to enter the area

• 4 and 5 or even 1 can dictate which side of the pitch is better to attack down - for our examples, we will utilise the left side

Attacking Phase

•In this example, ball is received by 2, who plays it to 8 and then 11, exploiting the space out wide

•Ball is crossed into the area where 9, 10, 7 and 3 are all ready to receive it and strike at goal

•Alternatively, if 11 receives the ball directly and crosses it, this works too

Variation 2

•If the space is available, then 11 can dribble with the ball and have a chance on goal

•It is important for 9, 10, 7 and 3 to all continue their runs, as they can capitalise on any secondary scoring chances created, pull defenders to create space and also distract the opposition goalkeeper
