Organisation:
The ball starts with the goalkeeper and the full backs will get wide and high with DM midfield line and enter the 8 yard box with the wide player who goes high and in line with opposition defensive line.
Working on the blue team they would not have a 3 v 1 situation to play out. The goalkeeper must play to a CB to start the play.
The blue team will aim to build up play and score - Opposition will not be allowed into wide areas to start and will be encouraged to defend narrow and not allow play to go through the middle.
Working on full back and wide player movement and rotations. If the wide player goes narrow the full back will be encouraged to overlap (As in diagram) if the wide player stays wide then the full back will be asked to go on the underlap. For block 1 players must stay in the wide areas.
If the oppostion win possession they must try to score on the counter attack as quickly as possible.
Blocks/Reps:
4 x 4 minutes (2 minute rest)
Progression
1: A defender can enter the wide areas to apply pressure
2: Wide players and full backs can dribble in field upon recieving the ball
3: Add an extra player (if avaliable) to the defensive team back line to make a 4 so their is always a player pressing the wide areas.
Coaching Points:
- Create width - Use the channels as a guide
- Movement and rotation - If wide player go inwards full back should overlap, if the wide player stays wide then the full back should underlap
- Decision making - for wide players when to dribble forward or infield to create overloads central, when should they combine, when should they cross, what type of cross should they use
- Defensive transition - be intense to win ball back or recover to support in defensive phase
- Speed of pass - quick movement of the ball
- Isolate and take on in a 1v1 situation
- Variety of crosses - Whipped in, floated, drilled, chipped, inswinging, outswinging

Organisation:
The SSG will be a 10 v 10 and full pitch dynamics.
Conditions will be added such as:
1 goal for a normal goal
3 goals for a goal scored within 3 touches of the delivery from the wide area
Block /Reps:
3 x 5 minutes (3 minute rest)
Coaching points:
These remain the same but with a bigger pitch and more space more emphasis will be on the key coaching points such as movement, rotations, delivery, link up play.

Session Title, principles & objective: Principle: Creating wide overloads Sub principle: working on full back and wide forward relationship
Learning Objectives:
1. Create overloads or isolation (Especially in wide areas)
2. Create and complete quick switches of play to create overloads or isolation in wide areas
3. Improve relationship between full back and winger
This is a generic practice - This is team training and individual based session. This is a loading day speed session match day - 3
Area Size: 15X15 / 1/2 PITCH / 3/4 PITCH Block/reps 4 x 90sec (90 sec rest) 3 minute rest then repeat (so 8 in total) Players Required: 20
Organisation:
Players get into pairs (important that full back and wide forward are paired together) each area is 15x15 and teams are playing 2 v2 in the middle. Players aim to transfer the ball from one side. The outside players must pass the ball once across to each other before passing into the middle or direct to the other side if open (This ensures defenders in the middle defend realistically).
Progressions:
1: Touch limit on both inside and outside players to speed up play and ensure quick decision making is being tested.
2: Add competition - 2 succesful transfers = 1 goal
Coaching points: Team and Individual Wide Players:
- Create space for themselves & teammate, get wide, stay distanced apart, make it hard for defenders
- Recieve on the half turn and back foot to play forward quickly
- Reserve energy by making clever, late and/or delayed movements to create space and time
- Link up play - once ball is in central area can you create good angles of support
- Decision making - do you need to go close to link up or stay away to create space for a split pass
Game Model:
In possession - Movement and rotation to create overloads, Quick switch of play to create wide overloads
Attacking Transition - Counter attack on regain of possession, Switching play to opposite side
Out of possession - Desire to regain ball, Prevent split passes between players
Defensive transition - React quickly, Press immediately or protect on loss of ball
Coaching Interventions:
Concurrent feedback, Direct Instruction, conditions, challneges, Q&A, Terminal feedback
Four Corners:
Technical: Speed of pass, Weight of pass, Link up play, dribbling, variety of crossing
Tactical - Maintain possession, understanding when/where and how to overload, patience in possession to create space, overloads and option to switch play, intelegient movement.
Physical - Acceleration, changes of direction, agility - movement to recieve, speed of play, aerobic and anaerobic work
Psychological - concentration, intelligence and awareness, composure, patience, cleverness to escape defenders, postive play (belief
