Screen 1 (20 mins)

Set Up: 

  • 16 x players
  • 16 x Balls
  • 2 x = Teams of 8 players wearing 2 different color shirts / Bibs
  • 8 x Cones

Field Area:

15 x 25mtrs

Duration:

20 mins

Instruction:

  • Each player has a ball 
  • Players are to dribble the ball in within the marked area
  • On Coaches instruction players are to attempt to tackle their opponents and pass the ball outside of the playing area while Protecting / maintaining possession of their own ball.
  • If a player loses possession and their ball is passed  outside of the grid they are out of the game.
  • The team with the last player left in the playing area with possession of their ball wins the game.
  • Once player retrieve their ball they can juggle and perform dynamic stretchers. until game is over.

Coaching Points:

  • Protect the ball by using your body ( hips, arms) 
  • Keep the ball out of tackling range ( back Foot)
  • Keep the ball moving
  • Use deception  1V1  skill to  avoid loosing possession
  • Keep your eyes up and scan
  • Be brave!

Screen 2 (20 mins)

Set Up:

  • 16 x Players
  • 2 x Pitches
  • 4 x small goals on each pitch
  • 6 x cones
  • players split into 4 teams of 4 x players
  • 8 players on each Field
  • 8 balls on each pitch
  • 3rd color bib for bouncers
Field Size:
  • 15 x 25mtrs

Duration:
  • 20 Mins
  • 6 x 3mins games

Instructions:
  • Players are to set up and play 3 V 3 with 2 neutral bouncers on the outside as shown
  • Play starts with 1 team from their defensive goal end.
  • Players are to move the ball toward opponents goal and score in either goal by using various passing techniques combination play, 1V1 skill, running with the ball and dribbling the ball.
  • Players can use neutral bounces to create overload as required.
  • Bounces are to attempt to play the ball back to a player from the team who passed them the ball using 2 touches only
  • Once a goal is scored play is re-started by the team who scored at their defensive end.
  • Bounces are to swap in and out after 3 mins
  • The team with the highest score wins

  • Scan your shoulder
  • Pass to team mates back foot
  • Protect the ball using your body ( Hips& arms)
  • Receive and carry the ball on your back foot. ( 1 x Shoulder facing the ball )
  • Can you play forward 
  • Keep the ball moving
  • Take your 1st touch away from closest defender

Progression:

  • Players can only score a goal with their weakest foot
  • Reduce field size
  • Limit touches
